IT Support Engineer
Job description:
ï‚§ Understanding of how to Support a Mission Critical computer environment.
ï‚§ Monitor the SBCS production, test, development environments based on the attached checklist and report any discrepancies to our command center for follow up.
ï‚§ L1, L2 operations support on our system. Basic knowledge on UNIX system
ï‚§ Work with third party software and UNIX utilities to transmit report files and solve technical problems for our clients and internal departments
ï‚§ Interface with client to surface and resolve operational issues.
ï‚§ Review, write, implement and maintain operations documentation.
ï‚§ Proven ability to prioritize, take initiative, and work well under pressure.
 Fix abends and oversee issues with proper escalation to meet critical deadlines and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).
Rotating schedule when required
Skills & educational background:
ï‚§ Engineer, Computer Science Degree
ï‚§ 2 years Tandem operations experience is a must
ï‚§ Knowledge and experience with the following products Tandem, Unix , HP OpenView
ï‚§ Knowledge of Microsoft Office Product
 Team Player – Works well in a team environment
ï‚§ Candidate has a Sense of Urgency in a mission
ï‚§ Good English verbal and written communication skills
