IT Support Engineer
Job description:
 Understanding of how to Support a Mission Critical computer environment.
 Monitor the SBCS production, test, development environments based on the attached checklist and report any discrepancies to our command center for follow up.
 L1, L2 operations support on our system. Basic knowledge on UNIX system
 Work with third party software and UNIX utilities to transmit report files and solve technical problems for our clients and internal departments
 Interface with client to surface and resolve operational issues.
 Review, write, implement and maintain operations documentation.
 Proven ability to prioritize, take initiative, and work well under pressure.
 Fix abends and oversee issues with proper escalation to meet critical deadlines and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).
Rotating schedule when required
Skills & educational background:
 Engineer, Computer Science Degree
 2 years Tandem operations experience is a must
 Knowledge and experience with the following products Tandem, Unix , HP OpenView
 Knowledge of Microsoft Office Product
 Team Player – Works well in a team environment
 Candidate has a Sense of Urgency in a mission
 Good English verbal and written communication skills
